Why you should get a GS1 Company Prefix?

GS1 Finland membership and an active GS1 Company Prefix quarantees that your product can be sold on shop shelves weather you sell groceries, general merchandise or DIY goods. When your product has been marked according to standards, it cannot be mixed up with other products on the market. With the GS1 Company Prefix you can also identify outer cases, logistic units, locations and assets. 

 

GS1 Company Prefix order procedure

Joining GS1 Finland is easy on our website as follows:

  1. First choose the Company Prefix licence (7-digit, 9-digit, 10-digit, 11-digit or variable length) you prefer from the webshop panel located on the right side of the page. More information about the different licences can be found on the bottom of the page from section “Which size licence is right for you”.
  2. Then choose your last auditable turnover from the licence fee top down menu. Your annual fee is determined by your last year’s turnover.
  3. Click “Add to shopping cart” and proceed to filling out your customer information and accepting the order. Note that the Company Prefix order will always be invoiced, so remember to fill out the correct invoicing details during registration.
  4. The Company Prefix order will be confirmed with a digital signature and after that the order will be directed to GS1 Customer Service. You will need your personal online banking details to complete the digital signature.
  5. Remember to print out the order confirmation and download the contract for your own files when you return back to the GS1 site after completing the digital signature.
  6. GS1 Customer Service will proceed your order, send you the certificate and you can start using your Company Prefix.

 

You can also order the Company Prefix by filling out a printable form. Then you must:

  1. Fill in the order form and send to the GS1 Finland Oy Customer Service by email or mail.
  2. Choose the Company Prefix licence (7-digit, 9-digit, 10-digit, 11-digit or variable length) you prefer and your last auditable turnover from the form.
  3. GS1 Customer Service will proceed your order, send you your invoice and the certificate and you can start using your Company Prefix.
