During the autumn of 2026, GS1 Data will combine the functionalities of GS1 Synkka and GS1 Rekisteri into a single, modern service.

On this page you can find the current documentation for the GS1 Data service. Here you can also find the release schedule for upcoming GDSN releases. The page will be updated as more information is available for each release.
We are updating the GS1 Data product information service according to the schedule below. Each update involves a weekend-long service outage in the production environment.
The updates affect the GS1 Data message structure and data content—specifically the attributes (data fields), code values, and validation rules used.

Interface descriptions
GDSN message interface (XML)
Send and receive GDSN messages, such as product information publications and updates as well as product information subscriptions, between your own system and GS1 Data.

Recipient Media (JSON)
Receive product media files from GS1 Data. Retrieve media files for new products as well as updates made to existing files.
