GS1 standards that identify
Our identification standards are used to create identifiers for products, locations and parties, and more. Standardized codes make them uniformly identifiable, shareable and traceable in all markets.
The GS1 identification standards define unique identifiers for different parts of supply chains. Information systems can use them to unambiguously refer to, for example, a product, a physical location, a logistic unit or a service relationship. Our industry-independent standards are applicable to all kinds of value chains.
