What is GS1 Data?
GS1 Data is a product information service designed to meet companies’ growing needs in product information management. The service operates as a centralised solution for the exchange and management of product information between suppliers and parties receiving product information. Consistent and high‑quality product information improves the flow of information throughout the entire supply chain and supports collaboration between companies.
As a supplier, you can create and manage product codes (GTINs) and maintain and share product information with your customers easily and efficiently.
For retail groups and other parties requiring product information, GS1 Data provides up‑to‑date and harmonised information from different suppliers through a single channel.
The service can be used either via a browser‑based user interface that guides data entry or through integrations.
