The GS1 Synkka product information service will be updated to a new version on 21 August 2026. On this page, we provide customers using the service integration with more detailed information about the upcoming 3.1.36 version update.
GS1 Data combines the functions of GS1 Synkka and GS1 Rekisteri into one modern service. The goal is to make it easier to maintain and share product data. GS1 Data will be implemented in stages by the end of October. Here you can find information about GS1 Data and its implementation.

The Packaging material data model development project developed an operating model for identification and a data model for basic packaging data, which allowed packaging components to be identified and their data to be managed consistently throughout the supply chain, utilizing GS1 standards.
